Monthly Archives: December 2015

I have worked for weeks on this one and am no closer to deciphering it than when I started.  The only thing that’s clear is that it is fairly recent since the date 102.9.5 came through loud and clear.

This disk was pretty corrupted so the hard thing is to discern the garbage from the encryption code –as this one has clearly been encrypted to keep it confidential.  I’m giving up for now but may come back to it later.  If anyone has ideas on how to crack it, please let me know.

The Stone Temple/Ekoos Stop

I noticed that many of the commodities that only come from Common Ore were getting a bit low, so I decided to head out and mine the Common fields in Quantar Core — easy duty, if a bit boring.

I headed to Tesrends’s station, Eye of Roh HQ in Quantar Core station where The Brotherhood had a heavy miner parked.  The miner there we call “FlucSucker” since we primarily use it for extracting biomass from Eels — but I re-equipped it for mining and headd for the nearly common roid fields.

Comms were fairly quiet so I did some reading as I slogged from roid to roid until my hold was nearly filled, and then headed towards QC station.  I topped off my oreload at the roid about 7k directly out from the docking tube where I could complete my run, target the tube and head directly in.

Once unloaded, I headed back to Tesrends’s station, jumped back into my Phoon and headed home to The Stone Temple — staisfied with a productive, if uneventful, night.

So I log on to get on with the sport plus production, still docked in corridor where i had been making synthetics for the power plants, checking stock i find all the synths on station had just been moved to QC, obviously just for profit as every item QC uses them for is at full stock levels, Quick question on f5 and obviously no one wants to say it was them. ok, fly to sol space to drop the ones i have in my hold to wake and cornea for the sport plus production, Next on the list for the sport plus is machined parts, back to Quant space with some carbon to get the synth’s back in to production and collect some copper and chrome, back to sol core quick prodboost on machined parts and wait for the to be made, quick look at stock while i’m waiting to find someone has taken electronics from sol core and dumped them on wake, overstocking wake so the station starts dumping them to space, right get a mission to wake for machined parts so the sport plus can start production, wait for a few more to be made and off to wake, drop off the machined parts buy the overstocked electronics at a lose and back to sol core.

On arriving at sol core buy what machined parts are on station and check wake has started production of the sport plus, hang on who moved all the synths i dropped at wake and took them to aman, this is getting silly, ok buy the synths at sol core to sell to wake wait for a few more machined parts, take them to cornea to get sport plus in production there, then to wake to replace the synths taken earlier. currently sport plus is in production. /rant.

if anyone wants some training on the econ system please ask me in game. please use http://www.blommaskog.net/jumpgate to see stock levels, production data and live stock movements and receive training on the econ

Now that I have completed my skill star marathon and achieved the full set of 61 it’s back to hauling & production.

Current goal is to have all unreg stations loaded with ship equipment so in the unlikely event that we have another DX type situation we can home at the nearest station knowing there will be a full stock of equipment to re-equip and get back in to the battle.

Hand in hand with this hauling is the need to replace the equipment moved, I am only moving equipment from stations that produce that equipment so it’s just a case of re-stocking to get production going again, unless the stock needed is not available and then that has to be made 1st.

With the above in mind I spent a peaceful few hours making a freighter full of synthetics last night for electronics and sport plus production.

I have not flown in weeks.  I have hit a wall in my decoding work and had decided to take a break for some mining and perhaps some Quantar beacon-tuning.  I’d just finished a mining mission in Tripoint sector when Hammer-BS contacted me on private comms saying that he had a complete set of gold DSS if I would like them.  Even though I have a bit of a backlog for data retrieval, of course I said “yes.”

So I docked at Tripoint, completed a Common Ores mission, switched out my mining gear for regular flight gear (equipping Thorns and a Duelist), took a transport mission to Q Depot, and headed out to met Hammer.

It was a good think that I changed gear because I immediately needed the guns to clear flux for al_Hamalzah who was mining in Tictacs.

The trip to Depot is a very short one and Hammer-BS was there waiting when I arrived.  Not only did he give me a full set of Gold DSS (1,2,3 & 4), but he charged me nothing at all.  I was shocked and happy.  The market value for those four DSS would have cost 75% of my available credits as The DSS Salvage and Recovery business is not terribly profitable these days.

I considered just storing the DSS at Depot, but I knew I’d need to get them to the Lab at some point, so I decided to go ahead and take the long trip to drop them there.  While my lab is in Tripoint sector, it’s hundreds of clicks out toward Kapenja.  Once I was in Tripoint sector, I set my autopilot for the Lab, and started recording this journal entry.

After securing the DSS in secure storage, at theLab, I headed back to Tripoint station for a couple more mining runs.

While I did not do all of the mining and planning tuned for tonight, fate had other plans for me and, I believe, it turned out quite well.
